Gough, Eckert help Stars share first-round lead in Susie Maxwell Berning Classic

Natalie Gough shot 72 to help Oklahoma City University tie Iowa Western for first place at 300 after the first round of the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic on the East Course at Lincoln Park in Oklahoma City Monday.

Gough is in third place individually, Rachel Eckert aded a 74 for the Stars, while Clair Hill shot 76 and Lauren Behnken 78. The tournament concludes Tuesday.

Redlands Community College, based in El Reno, is in fifth place. The junior college power was led by Marvelyn Kartika with a 75, followed by Ashlyn Acosta with a 77. Maisie Liddell and Hallie Schultz each shot 79.
