Gudgel leads qualifying for OGA Senior State Amateur
Eric Gudgel of Stillwater shot a 4-under 67 to lead qualifying for the Oklahoma Golf Association Senior State Amateur Championship Monday at Meadowbrook Country Club.
Jonathan Valuck of Oklahoma City, pictured above, is the defending champion, having won the event last year at Belmar Golf Club in Norman.
Jerry Nick of Okmulgee and Michael Gotcher of Broken Arrow each shot 1-under 70, while coming in at even-par 71 were Jason Gulley of Jenks, Christopher Laughlin of Edmond and Jeff Smith of Arcadia.
Match play begins Tuesday with the round of 32 and the round of 16. Quarterfinals and semifinals are Wednesday, with the championship match at 8 a.m. Thursday.
