Henderson named to PGA’s Board of Control

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Feb. 14, 2018) – South Central PGA Section President Michael Henderson, of Edmond, Oklahoma, was named to the PGA’s Board of Control, which oversees the Association’s governance and ethics code standards and compliance. Henderson, the 2017 South Central PGA Golf Professional of the Year, is the Owner of The Golf Club of Edmond and Operator of Lakeside Memorial Golf Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Henderson, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, attended Stephen F. Austin State University on a golf scholarship and also serves on the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame Board of Directors. He was named the South Central PGA Section’s Youth Player Development Leader of the Year in 2011, 2013 & 2014; and PGA Merchandiser of the Year (Public) in 2013. An accomplished player, he has competed in multiple PGA Tour events, PGA Professional Championships, and was honored as the Northern Texas PGA Player of the Year in 2005.
