High school championships: Herman lifts Jenks into lead in Class 6A
Lisa Herman shot a 1-under 71 to take firm control of the Class 6A girls state championship at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville and in doing so lifted Jenks into a 3-shot lead over Norman North.
The expected contest between Herman and Norman North’s duo of senior Juliana Hong, who won this event as a sophomore, and Harlow Gregory, who won last year as a freshman, took a hit when Hong and Gregory struggled to rounds of 78 and 79 respectively. Also doing so was Norman North’s Natalie Carlson with a 79.
