Hillcats are second after day one at MIAA Championships
JOPLIN, Mo. – Rogers State women’s golf wrapped up the first day of competition at the MIAA Championships on Monday.
After 18 holes at the par 72, 5,800 yard Eagle Creek Golf Club, the Hillcats sit in second place with a card of 314 (+26), just four strokes off the leader.
Marelda Ayal leads RSU in a tie for sixth place after shooting 76 (+4) on the first day. Ellen Loving and Jaelynn Unger are in a three-way tie for 10th with cards of 79 (+7). Raquel Flores is in a four-way tie for 13th with an 80 (+8). Lydia Sitorus rounds out the group in a tie for 21st with an 82 (+10).
The Hillcats will be back on the course tomorrow for the second round. The first group is set to tee off at 11 a.m.
