Holbrook, Jackson, Newman qualify for 2022 U.S. Amateur Championship
University of Oklahoma golfer Jake Holbrook of Granbury, Texas, led a group of five qualifiers for the 2022 U.S. Amateur in a qualifier at Oak Tree Country Club (East Course) held Monday.
Holbrook shot rounds of 69-66 to finish at 5-under 135. Also qualifying were Charlie Jackson of Norman and Abilen Christian, who tied Hazen Newman of Las Vegas and Oklahoma State University for second at 4-under 136. Conrad Walcher of Edmond is first alternate at 137 and Brad Mason of Dallas is second alternate at 139.
