Hughett, Valuck in contention in Jones Cup Senior Amateur

Mike Hughett of Owasso and Jon Valuck of Oklahoma City are both within striking range going into the final round of the prestigious 2019 Jones Cup Senior Amateur at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia.

Hughett is tied for fourth with four other golfers at 6 over after consecutive rounds of 73 in cold and blustery conditions. Valuck is tied for ninth at 7 over after rounds of 73-74. The co-leaders Larry Stephenson and Danny Nelson are at 4 over. Complete scoring here. 

Hughett has won a record 21 Oklahoma Golf Association titles and Valuck has been one of the state’s top senior players and winner of the 2017 OGA Senior Stroke Play Championship in a playoff over Hughett.
