Ishee fires 69, powers ORU to season-best round

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. — Led by Kennedy Ishee’s charge up the leaderboard, the Oral Roberts women’s golf team shot the best round of the tournament by any team and moved up to ninth place overall at the Little Rock Golf Classic Tuesday at Diamante Country Club.

ORU finished at 914 (311-310-293) for the tournament with its best closing round of the season. Central Arkansas won the event at 891 (298-295-298).

Kennedy Ishee posted her third consecutive top-10 finish after a season best 69 in the final round to move to a tie for 10th at 223 (77-77-69). Rebecca Hnidka shot her best round of the year at 73 on Tuesday, as did Beatriz Garcia with a 74.

ORU is finished up for the fall season and will return to the course for the spring February 13 in the Battle at Boulder in Las Vegas, Nevada.
