OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City women’s golf team rallied in the second round as Maddi Kamas took medalist honors for the third consecutive year in the Kyle Blaser Invitational Monday at The Greens Country Club.

Kamas shot rounds of 75-73 for a 4-over 148 total in winning her second event of the season, finishing one shot ahead of the University of Oklahoma Kaylee Vesely, who was playing as an individual.

OCU shot 13 shots better in the second round to surge past Texas Wesleyan by five strokes. The University of Central Oklahoma placed third, 40 shots behind the leaders.

For OCU, Paige Wood placed fourth at 153 (81-72), Jamie Welsh was seventh at 155 (77-78), Logan Allen tied for 12th at 159 (81-78) and Meghan Charles tied for 19th at 165 (85-81).

Scarlet Sturch led the way for UCO with a tie for 14th at 161 (82-79).
