Scott Karpe has been named the new head PGA golf professional at Tulsa Country Club.

Karpe, a former assistant to Cary Cozby at Southern Hills Country Club, replaced Jeff Combe, who worked for the club for 30 years, the last 28 as head professional.

“We’re very excited about Scott,” said TCC General Manager Jason Fiscus. “We had a very deep candidate pool and even to narrow the field from 60 to 12 was difficult. But Scott really stood out. His dedication to membership service and enthusiasm set him apart as the right guy for us.”

Before his stint at Southern Hills, Karpe was an assistant to Cozby at Wichita Country Club from 2013 to 2015. He previously worked at Diamante Golf Course in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and at Bulls Bridge Golf Club in Kent, Conn.

Karpe said he was thrilled to be at TCC and looked forward to his first job as a head professional.

“It’s been great,” said Karpe, who started at TCC on Jan. 2. “The members have been very supportive. We have a very active, involved membership that loves to play and compete and plays a lot of golf. I believe the pro and his staff set the tone for the course and we’re going to have fun and be very enthusiastic.”

Karpe earned his PGA Membership in 2011 and received the 2017 PGA South Central Section Youth Player Development Award.  He holds the Titleist Performance Institute level 1 certification and is a certified U.S. Kids Golf Coach. He said he has a passion for junior golf.

Scott and his wife, Molly, were married June 7, 2019 and reside in Tulsa.  They enjoy attending country music concerts, sporting events and spending time with family.
