Cordoba, Argentina – William Kropp of Edmond closed with a 2-under 69 on Sunday to beat Angel Cabrera by one stroke and win the Abierto OSDE del Centro.

Kropp, a former Edmond North and University of Oklahoma golfer, finished at 8-under-par 276 at Cordoba Golf Club. This was his first win on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

Cabrera, last year’s winner, also shot 69 in the final round to end one back at minus-7.

Kropp posted back-to-back birdies at two and three to move to minus-8. He dropped a shot on the sixth, but was still two clear of Cabrera, who birdied the third and bogeyed the fifth.

Cabrera got within one as he birdied the 11th, but Kropp birdied the 12th. Cabrera again moved within one when he birdied the par-3 14th. Kropp answered with a birdie on the 17th, but he trimmed his winning margin to one with a bogey at the last.
