Lomholt takes slender lead in Oklahoma Open

Magnus Lomholt of Little Rock, Ark., fired a 6-under 64 Thursday to hold a one-shot lead following the first round of the 110th Oklahoma Open on the East Course at Oak Tree Country Club.
Lomholt leads Owen Stamper of Scottsdale, Ariz., and James Ross of Spring, Texas, who each shot 65.
The 54-hole event continues Friday, after which the field will be cut to the low 40 and ties for Saturday’s final round.
The leading Oklahomans in the field are Jonathan Brightwell and Andres Brictson of Edmond at 4-under. Brightwell, a former University of Oklahoma star, has been working at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond while considering his next moves in professional golf. Brictson was a star collegiate golfer at Oklahoma Christian who is striving to reach the next level.
