Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G kicks off on Friday with 144 players teeing up at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers. In preparation for the expected high temperatures, organizers announce that free water will be available to all event spectators at the tournament this weekend. Water will be stationed throughout the course at concession stands and given out at no cost courtesy of Walmart and PepsiCo.
“Keeping everyone safe on the course is our number one priority,” said Harry Hardy, Tournament Director. “We’re getting ahead of the heat to ensure that people who want to come out to the event can come out in a comfortable and safe environment.”
Other preparations include:
·        Spectator Shade Tents will be positioned every three to four holes throughout the course to offer relief from the sun
·        Cooling towels are available at the Walmart Kids Center presented by Dove and free to the general public
·        An air conditioned public viewing is available in the Filtrete Cooling Zone on the 17th Hole, the tournament’s signature hole known as the Gatorade Loudest Hole on Tour
·        Free Banana Boat sunscreen will be available at the driving range

Tickets to the tournament are $10 daily and $25 weekly, and can be purchased at the main admissions gates.  For more information, please visit www.NWAChampionship.com.
