Majma, Gregory are Best of the West Classic champions
Two of Oklahoma’s top juniors were champions this past weekend as Emerson Majma and Harlow Gregory prevailed in the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour’s Best of the West Classic at Lincoln Park.
Majma shot a nifty 10-under 132 after back-to-back rounds of 66 and it took every bit of that to edge Jack Williams of Claremore, who shot 68-65 to finish a shot back at 9-under. Samuel Bonaobra of Broken Arrow was fourth at 5-under (71-66), while Ty Neatherlin of Edmond captured fourth at 4-under (71-67).
Tied for fifth were Benton Manly of Tulsa and Ian Wilcoxen of Tulsa at 3-under.
Gregory shot 69-74 to finish at 1-under 143, five shots clear of Maggie Ruby of Stillwater (75-73) and Cara Cummins of Oklahoma City (72-76).
Tied for fourth were Megan Kalapura of Tulsa (75-75) and Mackinlee Brunker of Cordell (76-74).
