Manly goes eight extra holes to capture OJGT Kickoff Classic; Factor prevails in girls division

Benton Manly of Tulsa won an eight-hole playoff after five golfers scorched the East Course at Lincoln Park with 8-under scores of 132 in the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour Kickoff Classic which concluded Friday.

Manly shot consecutive rounds of 66. Also in the playoff were Jake Hopper of Norman (68-64)  Kolby Matthews of Edmond (68-64), Rhett Hughes of Edmond )66-66) and Parker Payne of Norman (65-67).

Grant Gudgel of Stillwater (65-68) and Buddy Wehrli of Tulsa (66-67) missed the playoff by a shot.

Beans Factor of Ada shot rounds of 70-69 to win the Girls’ Division by three shots over Emerie Schartz of Derby, Kan., who shot 71-71 for a 142 total. Jaci Hartman of Burneyville (74-73) and Peyton Coburn of Broken Arrow (71-76) tied for third at 147.
