Milligan, Phillips, Thomas, Gogel vying for 2024 playing status

After a blazing start in which he birdied three of the first four holes, it was a tough go for Tracy Phillips of Tulsa Tuesday in his effort to earn one of five cards available in the PGA Tour Champions Q School Finals at the TPC Scottsdale Champions Course.

Phillips made four bogeys and no birdies on the back nine to shoot 2-over and rank 64th I the field of 78. He can make up ground in the second round today. Follow live scoring here.

Also in the field is 1990 OGA State Amateur champion Matt Gogel who grew up in Tulsa.

Kaitlin Milligan, who grew up in Norman and played for the University of Oklahoma, can earn LPGA Tour status today with a solid final round in the six-round Q Series that determines cards for the LPGA Tour and the Epson Tour for 2024. Lilly Thomas of the University of Tulsa is also in the finals. Milligan went into the final round tied for 24th while Thomas was in 64th place. The top 45 will earn LPGA Tour status with all of those who made the 72-hole cut earn Epson Tour status for 2024.
