Milligan, Upton are local favorites in WAPT at The Club at Indian Springs.
Kaitlin Milligan goes off the No. 1 tee at 8:12 a.m. and Stacy Upton (Prammanasudh) tees off No. 1 at 9:12 a.m. as two of the Oklahoma favorites in the FCA Women’s Championship Presented by Jim Glover Auto on the Women’s All Pro Tour at The Club at Indian Springs begins Tuesday.
Milligan, the long-bashing former All-American at the University of Oklahoma, now lives in Goldsby and has four top-25 finishes in four events on the WAPT this spring, including a tie for fifth in the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana Open March 18 at National Golf Club of Louisiana.
Upton is taking her first competitive swings since retiring from the LPGA in 2013 with two wins and more than $13.5 million in earnings over 11 years. She is playing the event at her come course to allow sons Ryp and Ryder to have a chance to watch her play in competition.
The event has a total purse of $55,000 and the field of 84 pros will contest it over four days of stroke play, with a cut after 36 holes. There is no charge to attend and walk the course.
