Myers closes strong to win second OGA Mid-Amateur title

Heath Myers of Kingfisher won his fourth overall OGA Championship and second Mid-Amateur crown Tuesday, shooting a round of 4-under-68 at Winter Creek Golf & Social Club in Blanchard to finish at 3-under 141.

That total was good for a four-shot victory over Eric Fox of Weatherford (74-71) and Bryan Vahlberg of Norman (72-73).

Myers previously won the Mid-Amateur for those golfers 25 and over in 2018, the same year he won the OGA Stroke Play Championship. He also teamed with Scott Kedy to win the OGA Four-Ball Championship in 2017.

Myers’ 68 Tuesday was the only sub-70 round in the tournament.
