Oklahoma adds Tucker Allen to recruiting class

NORMAN — The Oklahoma men’s golf program has added Tucker Allen to its 2019 signing class, head coach Ryan Hybl announced on Wednesday.

“We are excited to add Tucker Allen to our family this week,” Hybl said. “Tucker has been a very good player for a long time and will bring experience to the table early on.”

A native of Tolar, Texas, Allen has earned multiple top-five AJGA finishes and was the winner of the AJGA Coca-Cola Open.

He has also picked up multiple top-five finishes on the Legends Junior Tour and the Northern Texas PGA. Allen is a two-time qualifier for the Jackie Burke Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event that gives the top-24 players in Texas a chance to compete in Four-Ball, Foursomes and Singles Match Play.

Allen joins Jake Holbrook (Granbury, Texas) and Turner Hosch (Highland Park, Texas) in OU’s 2019 signing class.

The Sooners open their spring schedule on Feb. 17-19 at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Mar, Puerto Rico.
