Oklahomans to pursue Web.com Tour cards at second stage of Q School
The second stage of qualifying for the 2017 Web.com Tour will take place Nov. 1-4 and Nov. 8-11. Several Oklahomans who advanced through first stage will be competing in one of the five second-stage sites for a chance to advance to the final stage Dec. 8-11 at Orange County National and earn a Web.com Tour card for 2017.
Trent Whitekiller of Sallisaw shot 21-under in St. George, Utah, to tie for sixth and advance in one of the final first-stage events. He is a former Oklahoma State All-America.
Cameron Meyers of Edmond tied for 17th at the first stage event at The Woodlands near Houston to advance. Meyers, a former OGA State Amateur champion and All-American at Oklahoma City University, shot 5-under for the event (69-68-70-76) and was in contention for the lead until a harrowing stretch over the final six holes.
