Oral Roberts, Riu sweep honors at Ozarks National Invitational

HOLLISTER, Mo. – The Oral Roberts women’s golf team rolled to a first-place finish at the Ozarks National Invitational Wednesday, finishing 23 shots ahead of second-place Middle Tennessee in a 13-team field.

Cristina Riu of ORU shot rounds of 69-71 to finish at 4-under, nine shots ahead of Ella Ives-Manley of Middle Tennessee and her ORU teammate Kate Strickland. The tournament was held on the Ozarks National Course at Big Cedar, playing to a par of 72 at 5,971 yards.

Avery Blake rounded out the top-5 finishers for ORU as she secured fourth-place with a 6-over par outing. The reigning Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week, Blake shot a 78 in round one and followed with a 72 on day two. Morgan Palermo tied for ninth at 9-over after rounds of 78-75.
