ORU finishes second in snowed-out Lady Thunderbird Invitational

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Oral Roberts women’s golf team finished second in the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitation after snow forced the cancelation of the final round Friday in St. George, Utah.

The Golden Eagles shot their best round in round one with a 291 and were five strokes out of the lead.

Sarah Bell finished tied for sixth with a 148 (+4). In round one, she shot a season best 68 (-4) and was in second place in the field. She shot seven birdies on the day with four on the front nine in round one. Bell was four shots out of second.

Megan Lee and Katelyn Rika each shot 74. Lee had four birdies as she ended the first two rounds tied for ninth in the field. She finished one shot back from sixth.  The team finished 22 strokes back from South Dakota State who finished first.
