ORU in fifth at The Clerico at Cedar Ridge, Bedlam battle for individual medalist

Oral Roberts University was in fifth place, 16 shots behind leader Little Rock, through 36 holes of The Clerico at Cedar Ridge Country Club. The 54-hole tournament concludes Tuesday.

Jackson Drake shot rounds of 69-71 and was tied for ninth at 4-under 140 to lead ORU. Presten Richardson and Delbert Brooks were tied for 27th at 1-over 145.

Mesa Falluer of Muskogee shot rounds of 72-69 and was tied for 11th with teammate Matt Cooper to pace the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Davis Woodliff of Tulsa shot rounds of 73-71 and was at even-par 144 to lead Samford, which was in ninth place.

Individually, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Sooners sent some talented players over to compete. Preston Stout of OSU led the tournament at 12-under 133 after rounds of 65-68, four shots ahead of Oklahoma’s Ben Lorenz (68-69). Kevin An of ORU was tied for sixth (69-70) while Jaxon Dowell of Oklahoma was also in the top 10 (71-69) at 4-under.
