OSU women stay well back in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Oklahoma State’s women’s golf team held its spot in the team standings after the second round on Tuesday at the SDSU Farms Invitational, remaining in 11th place at The Farms Golf Club.

The Cowgirls posted a 306 during their second round to stand at 37-over 613 through 36 holes at the par-72, 6,237-yard layout. UCLA posted a 286 to stand at 5-under 571 and hold a four-shot cushion heading into the final day of action.

San Diego State’s Emma Henrikson carded a 69 during her second round to state at 7-under 134 and three shots clear of the field.

Senior Jayde Panos posted a 76 to get in at 149 and tied for 28th place to lead the OSU starting five.

Classmate Lauren Falley also carded a 76, giving her a 150 total and tying her for 34th place.

Freshman Isabella Deilert’s 77 tied her for 54th place at 157, while sophomore Julie Yang finished the day tied for 65th place at 159 after signing for a 77 of her own.

Senior Amy Ruengmateekhun rounded out the OSU lineup with an 82 to stand at 162 and tied for 73rd place.

The Cowgirls will begin their final round at 7:30 a.m. (PST) tomorrow and will be grouped with New Mexico and Idaho.
