OSU women’s team places third in Bruin Wave
TARZANA, Calif.—Oklahoma State’s women’s golf team closed with a 294 on Tuesday at the Bruin Wave Invitational to finish in third place at El Caballero Country Club.
The Cowgirls finished with a 54-hole total of 901, 37-over, and moved up two spots aftertying UCLA for the low round of the day. The Bruins finished at 899 and alone in second, while Washington posted an 890 total to win the team race at the par-72, 6,173-yard layout.
UCLA’s Erynne Lee finished five shots clear of the field to claim medalist honors, posting a 70 during her third round to finish at 216.
OSU finished with a pair of players inside the top 20 with Linnea Johansson leading the way. The sophomore carded a closing 72 to get in with a 226 total and tied for 15th place.
Freshman Maddie McCrary posted an 80 during her final round to finish tied for 17th place at 227.
Sophomore Isabella Deilert and freshman Kenzie Neisen tied for 23rd place at 229 after signing for rounds of 74 and 75, respectively.
Freshman Emma Broze carded her low round of the event, finishing with a 73 to move into a tie for 30th place at 231.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on March 10 when they begin play at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Honolulu.
