Past champs Blonien, Hermann to meet for WOGA crown
Natalie Blonien and Sydney Hermann know what it’s like to be the champion of the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur.
Both have done it before. Hermann in 2023 at her hone course in Ponca City. Blonien in 2024 at Stillwater Country Club.
One of them will become a two-time champion Thursday as they meet in the finals at 9 a.m. at Oakwood Country Club in Enid,
Blonien, entering her third year at Arkansas, dispatched Meredith Colby of Edmond and Lindenwood University 5 and 3 in one semifinal Wednesday. Hermann put away Oklahoma State women’s golfer Lucy Darr of Stillwater 4 and 3 in the other semifinal.
Hermann played collegiately at NAIA power Dalton State and is now a graduate assistant at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. She is the only graduate in the champions flight as the rest of the field were undergraduates or high school students.
