Philbrick reaches end of Hall of Fame career

Quail Creek Country Club in Oklahoma City is expected to announce soon a replacement soon for former general manager Bob Philbrick, who retired at the end of 2016 after serving as GM since 2003. Philbrick is a PGA South Central Section Hall of Fame member who worked previously at prestigious Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., from 1994-99 and served as general manager at The Golf Club of Oklahoma from 1999-2003.

Philbrick was the South Central PGA Section’s Bill Strausbaugh Award winner in 2008, and served on The PGA of America Education Committee from 2001-03. In 1992, Club Corp named him its Club Manager of the Year, and he was a Rules official at the 1999 Ryder Cup and the 1998-2001 PGA Professional National Championships. He has served as a consultant to more than 20 golf facilities and as a guest speaker at numerous universities and organizations.
