Richardson opens five-shot lead in OGA Stroke Play Championship

Presten Richardson fired a 7-under 64 to move to 11-under overall and open a 5-shot lead in the Oklahoma Golf Association Stroke Play Championship on the Scissortail Course at WinStar Resort in Thackerville.

The field was cut to the low 30 and ties after 36 holes. The final 18 holes will be played Wednesday.

C.J.Phillips of Edmond shot a second-round 66 to move into solo second at 6-under. Alex Bloxham of Broken Arrow (70-68), Mesa Falleur of Muskogee (69-69), Ben Stoller of Owasso (69-69) and first-round leader Rhett Hughes of Edmond (67-71) are tied for third at 4-under 138.

Richardson played his collegiate golf at Oral Roberts University.
