RiverHawks within two going into final round of NSU Classic at Muskogee
MUSKOGEE – A solid afternoon round by Northeastern State has them within reach of the lead at its 25th Golf Classic at the Muskogee Golf Club. The RiverHawks shot a 570 (289-281) and are tied with UT Tyler for second place, two strokes back of Central Missouri.
Will Livermore and Parker Rose are tied for sixth place at 2-under 140 to lead NSU. Gabe Replogle shot 68 in his second round to shoot an even 142 (74-68) to put him tied for 13th overall.
Cole Waymire is tied for 39th place with a 148 (75-73) and Brett Wilcoxen had a 150 (77-73) putting him tied for 50th.
Playing individually, LJ Chavez is tied for 39th shooting a 148 (73-75), and Chris Tovar had a 163 (83-80)
The RiverHawks will be in the final grouping on Tuesday for the final round starting at 11:36 a.m.
There are five other Oklahoma teams in the 16-team field. Southern Nazarene is 11th at 27 over, Southeast Oklahoma State was a stroke behind at plus 28, Southwestern Oklahoma State shot 34 over, Northwestern Oklahoma State 37 over and Oklahoma Wesleyan came in at 46 over.
Chandler Cooke of Arkansas-Fort Smith shot rounds of 69-65 to grab the individual lead at 8-under.
