Rogers State opens in third in regional, NSU sixth, UCO eighth
LARCHWOOD, Iowa – Rogers State women’s golf wrapped up the first day of competition at the NCAA Central Region Championship on Monday in third place. After 18 holes at the par 72, 6,095 yard Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort, the Hillcats were third with a score of 295 (+7).
Lydia Sitorus led RSU in a five-way tie for fourth after shooting a 72 (E) on the day, just four strokes off the leader.
Raquel Flores is right behind her in a four-way tie for ninth with a card of 73 (+1).
Ellen Loving is in a group of six tied at 13th with a 74 (+2).
Marelda Ayal and Jaelynn Unger round out the squad in a group eight tied at 27th with a 76 (+4).
Northeastern Oklahoma State was tied for sixth with a 303 score, 14 shots behind the leader Nebraska-Kearney. Central Oklahoma is in eighth place. Second round action is under way today.
