Rogers State sweeps titles at Hillcat Classic, Sitorus, Flores 1-2 for women
OWASSO, Okla. – Rogers State women’s golf won the Eighth Annual Hillcat Classic on Tuesday by 29 shots over Nebraska-Kearney
After two rounds at the Par 72, 6,004 yard Bailey Ranch Golf Club, the Hillcats won their home tournament after turning in a card of 609 (+33).
Lydia Sitorus won the individual title after shooting 150 (+6). The sophomore sank three birdies across the 36 holes.
Raquel Flores finished one stroke behind in second with a card of 151 (+7). Ellen Loving and Brianna Maddux finished in a three-way tie for eighth with both shooting 157 (+13). Marelda Ayal finished in a three-way tie for 15th with a 161 (+17). Jaelynn Ungerrounded out the squad in a group of six tied at 18th with 163 (+19).
Playing as an individual, Kristin Gudmundsdottir finished in a tie for fourth after shooting 154 (+10). Jessica Osden finished in the group of six tied at 18th with a 163 (+19). Paulina Flores finished in a four-way tie for 30th with a card of 168 (+24).
Southern Nazarene placed fourth, led by the third-place finish of Hannah Torres (79-74). Kendall Kerr and Rebecca Davis tied for 12th at 159.
The Hillcats will be back in action on Monday, March 20 as they travel to Tyler Texas to compete in the 2023 King-Alfred Spring Invitational at the Cascades Country Club.

After three rounds at the par 72, 6,695 yard Bailey Ranch Golf Club, the Hillcats won their home tournament after turning in a card of 869 (+5).
Elliot-Han Monteremal led RSU with a second place finish after shooting 212 (-4) over the 52 holes. The junior sank 13 birdies in the tournament. He finished three shots behind JJ Zimmer of Union University.
Jack Roche finished in a tie for fourth with a card of 218 (+2), shooting a 70 in the final round. Ty Nicar finished seventh with a 220 (+4), tying for the lowest round of the tournament with a 68 in the final round. Daniel Robles finished tied for eighth with a 221 (+5). Tyler Collier finished 30th with a 232 (+16). Tyler Corwell rounded out the group in a three-way tie for 33rd with a 234 (+18).
Playing as an individual, Pedro Benjumea finished in a three-way tie for 16th with a 224 (+8).
Southeast Oklahoma State finished placed sixth and Northwestern Oklahoma State came in eighth.
The Hillcats will be back in action on Monday, March 20 as they travel to Edmond, Okla. to compete in the Broncho Invitational at Rose Creek Golf Club.
