Rommann edges Friday in playoff for SCS Professional Championship

Trent Rommann of Wichita made birdie on the first playoff hole to edge Shannon Friday of Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club and win the South Central Section Professional Championship Tuesday at The Golf Club of Oklahoma.
Both players finished regulation in 6-under after Rommann, of Crestview CC, shot consecutive rounds of 69 and Friday shot 68-70.
Both will qualify for the 2020 PGA Professional Championship next spring at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Also advancing to the national event were Tim Fleming of Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club and Riley Seitz of Reflection Ridge in Wichita. They tied at even-par 144 and advanced in a playoff with Malachi Murphy of Winter Creek Golf Course in Blanchard.
