OKLAHOMA CITY – Trent Rommann of Crestview Country Club in Wichita outlasted Brent Wilcoxen of South Lakes Golf Course in Jenks with a birdie on the 21st hole to win the 2015 South Central PGA Assistant Match Play Championship at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club Wednesday.

Wilcoxen made long birdie putts on holes 14 and 15 to pull within one in a tense final match. Rommann responded with a birdie on hole 16 and Wilcoxen answered with a birdie on 17. Rommann failed to get up and down for par on 18 and Wilcoxen was able to square the match and send it to extra holes.

"The golf course was in great shape and Brent played a great match,” said Rommann. “I’m honored to have played well enough to win the championship!”

Derek Franco of Twin Hills defeated Darren Watts of Lake Hefner 7 and 5 to win the Consolation Bracket.  Complete results are at www.southcentral.pga.com.
