Rory would be proud as Karch notches first SCPGA Junior Tour title

There are not many results of junior golf events in Oklahoma that would command the attention of Rory McIlroy, but this one might.

Traden Karch, nearly killed in a horrific auto accident in 2016 and hosted by McIlroy at the 2017 PGA Championship as part of his recovery, won the first junior event of the season on the South Central PGA Junior Tour, shooting a 76 at the Broken Arrow Golf & Athletic Club Monday to finish three shots ahead of a quarter of golfers in the Boys 16-18 category.

Karch has slowly but consistently overcome the traumatic brain injuries he suffered as a result of the auto accident and his golf, the one thing that helped more than anything in his recovery, continues to progress as well. You can relieve his remarkable story and his bond with McIlroy here.
