Rose, Repogle lead way as RiverHawks rally to win NSU Golf Classic
MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Led by the third-place finish of Parker Rose and a tie for sixth by Gabe Repogle, Northeastern State withstood rain delays and gathering darkness to edge Harding by two shots and win the NSU Golf Classic Tuesday at Muskogee Golf Club.
The RiverHawks shot a final round of 3-under on the par-71 course, led by Rose’s 2-under 69, 1-under 70s by Brent Wilcoxen and Repogle and a 1-over 72 from Cole Waymire. Harding matched the 3-under 281 to finish second, two shots behind at 853. Southern Arkansas was two shots further back in third at 855.
Rose who secured his first top-five finish as a RiverHawk shooting a 209 (71-69-69). Replogle joined him inside the top ten, tying for sixth with a 212 (74-68-70).  Livermore finished just outside the top ten, placing 11th with a 213 (69-71-73). Wilcoxen (75-73-70) and Waymire (75-73-72) finished the tournament with a 220, respectively.
Playing individually, LJ Chavez shot a tournament-best 69 in the third round to finish the week’s action in Muskogee with a 217 (73-75-69), while Chris Tovar shot a 243 (83-80-80). The RiverHawks kick off October in Weatherford, Okla. for The Perkins on Oct. 2-3, hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Among other Oklahoma schools in the event, Southeastern Oklahoma State finished 10th, Southern Nazarene 12th, Northwestern Oklahoma State 15th, Southwestern Oklahoma State 16th and Oklahoma Wesleyan 17th. Complete results for all teams are at the link above.
