RSU’s Sitorus, NSU’s Lee, OC’s Herberth named to All-Region teams

Lydia Sitorus of Rogers State and Nina Lee of Northeastern State were named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-Central Region team, the organization announced on Wednesday. Sofia Benavides Herberth of Oklahoma Christian to the All-West Region team.

It is the second honor for Sitorus who was a unanimous First Team All-MIAA selection earlier this season. The Bitung, Indonesia product finished the regular season ranked No. 86 in the nation according to Golfstat with a 75.6 scoring average.

Sitorus played in all 10 events this season with six Top 15 finishes and four Top 5 finishes, including a runner-up finish at the UCO Spring Invitational. She won the Hillcat Classic in March after shooting 150 (+6) with individual rounds of 73 and 77, finishing one stroke ahead of teammate Raquel Flores. Sitorus also earned MIAA Golfer of the Week for performance in the tournament.

Lee is among 48 golfers nationally to be named and is the 21st overall selection for the golf program at Northeastern State.

The fifth-year senior completed her career at the NCAA Central Regional a week ago and had a 78.48 stroke average in 110 rounds played.  Lee was an All-MIAA First Team selection in 2023 and earned a trio of top-five finishes this last season.
