Scott Carter Heroes Golf Classic has several spots remaining

A few team spots still remain for the Scott Carter Heroes Golf Classic Aug. 28 at The Club at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow. The tournament raises funds for cancer research in memory of Scott Carter, son of long-time Oral Roberts Athletics Director Mike Carter. Scott died at age 13 in December, 1993 after a three-year battle with bone cancer.

There are shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and the format is a five-person pro-am scramble with each team playing with a PGA Professional or local college player. There are par-3 games with celebrity guests and hole-in-one prizes including new cars.
