Sides takes fourth in Southern Junior Championship

William Sides of Tulsa closed with a 4-under 68 to tie for fourth in the prestigious Southern Junior Championship Friday at The Blessings Golf Club near Fayetteville, Ark.
Sides, who has committed to Southern Methodist University, finished at even-par 216. Thomas Morrison, the 6-foot-8 junior phenom from Dallas, shot 12-under to win by four shots over Carter Laughlin of Duluth, Ga.
James Roller of Tulsa placed 19th at 4-over 220. Ben Stoller of Owasso and Jake Hopper of Norman competed but did not make the cut.
