HOCKLEY, Texas – Oklahoma and Oklahoma State’s men’s golf teams return to the course this week at the sixth annual Big 12 Match Play Championship, the Big 12 conference’s fall golf tournament that preps teams for NCAA match play. Matches begin on Monday morning at the three-day event that culminates with the final on Wednesday afternoon.

The event will consist of three days of play at the par-71, 7,007-yard Golf Club at Houston Oaks, guaranteeing each team five matches throughout the week. With the Big 12 expanding to 14 teams, the championship format is different compared to last seasons. The Sooners, who are the No. 2 seed, are paired with No. 7 BYU and No. 10 Houston in Pool B as there are now four pools of three teams. Teams will play three matches before the bracket is set after the morning of day three. Results from cross-pool matches between Pool A and Pool B (OU vs. Texas) will not count towards pool standings.
