Oklahoma State caught some early momentum on the par-71, 6,249-yard layout as it opened the day 2-under with birdies from their first two to the tee in Angelica Pfefferkorn and Ellie Bushnell. The Cowgirls bounced around the top spot for most of the front nine. However, their run was stymied with two birdies on the back nine.

In her first postseason start, Pfefferkorn briefly held the individual lead after birdieing her first two of three holes, but the senior ultimately capped the day tied for 25th at 3-over 74.

Thitaporn Saithip slotted in tied for ninth after an even front nine, but a pair of bogeys and a double bogey on hole No. 17 moved her to 4-over 75 and tied for 34th entering Friday.

Maddison Hinson-Tolchard also signed a 75 in opening-round action.

As two of 19 freshmen in the field, Bushnell and Marta Silchenko closed their first postseason round on Thursday, signing rounds of 77 and 78, respectively.
