Southwestern Christian wins its Invite at Lake Hefner

OKLAHOMA CITY — Southwestern Christian University posted a final-round 318 and won the Southwestern Christian Invite Wednesday at Lake Hefner Golf Course.
The Lady Eagles turned a final total of 319-318–637 on the par-72, 5,969-yard course and tied for first place with Murray State College. SCU was awarded the title in a score-card playoff.
UT-Dallas followed in third place with a final score of 641, Oklahoma Wesleyan followed in fourth and St. Gregory’s placed fifth.
Bethany Acey of Murray State carded a two-under par score of 72-70–142 and won the individual title. Michelle Oliff of UT-Dallas finished second, SCU’s Andi McGill and Oklahoma Wesleyan’s KayLee Hacker tied for third and Kayla Witt of SCU came in fifth.
McGill’s 77-77–154 and Witt’s 77-79–156 paced the Lady Eagles. Ashlea Mahan cared an 81-81–162 and tied for seventh place. Tori Plumley shot 84-81–165 and Abigail Neel carded 86-83–169 to round out the SCU top-5.
Nicole Lenaburg shot 85-82–167 and Kara Davis shot 82-86–168 while playing as individuals.
