Southwestern Oklahoma State trails Henderson State in Diffee Ford Invite at Lincoln Park
Henderson State, led by individual leader Gracen Blount with a 68, took a 12-shot lead over Southwestern Oklahoma State following the first round of the Diffee Ford Lincoln Invitational at Lincoln Park’s East Course Monday.
SWOSU was led by Drew Dodgion with a 72 and Rebecca Lau with a 73. At 295, the Bulldogs are three shots clear of Oklahoma Christian in third. OC was led by Alex Bennett with a 71 and Wilma Merenmies with a 73.
Among other Oklahoma schools, Northeastern State is fifth at 301, led by Nina Lee’s 72. Central Oklahoma had a 72 from Mika Ramos and is in sixth at 305. Southern Nazaren is seventh at 311 topped by a 76 by Hallie Schultz. Oklahoma City University is eighth as Aubrey House shot 75. Cameron (315), Redlands Community College (321) and Oklahoma Baptist (323) are ninth, 10th and tied for 11th.
The tournament continues Tuesday.
