SWOSU, Rogers State tie for second in St. Edwards Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – Top-10 finishes from Elin Wahlin and Veronika de Bochdanovits lifted the Southwestern OSU women’s golf team to a runner-up finish at the St. Edward’s Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday at Onion Creek Country Club in Austin. Arkansas State won the event with a team score of 603 followed by SWOSU and Rogers State at 620.

Also from Oklahoma, the University of Central Oklahoma placed fifth at 627. For complete scores, click results below.

Wahlin shot 77 on both Monday and Tuesday to finish tied for ninth at 154 with de Bochdanovits, who shot 73-81.  Jenna Eidem improved by five strokes on Tuesday, firing the low round of the day with a 76 to move into 21st place. Chloe Thackeray and Gloria Choi rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs, finishing in 22nd and 29th places, respectively.

Jess Whitting led Rogers State with a tie for ninth at 154, while UCO was paced by Makena Mucciaccio in seventh at 153 (75-78) and Faith Stewart in ninth (76-78)

SWOSU returns to action on March 4-5 at the Diffie Ford Invitational, hosted by Southern Nazarene at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond.
