Thomas off to hot start in LPGA Q Series, Milligan also looking to advance

Former University of Tulsa golfer Lilly Thomas shot a bogey-free 4-under 67 to get off to a great start in the first round of the LPGA Q Series, which is final qualifying for the 2024 LPGA Tour and the 2024 Epson Tour. The tournament is being held at the Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Mobile, Ala.

Former University of Oklahoma golfer Kaitlin Milligan shot 1-over and is tied for 64th. Live scoring is here.

Players finishing in positions 1-45 and ties after 108 holes will also earn 2024 LPGA eligibility. Players finishing in positions 1-20 and ties earn LPGA Tour status in Category 14 and players finishing in positions 21-45 and ties earn LPGA Tour status in Category 15. The qualifier consists of six rounds of stroke play over 108 holes with a cut after 72 holes.

Thomas was a three-time all-conference selection for Tulsa and has made two starts on the LPGA Tour, both at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She missed the cut in 2022 and tied for 62nd this year.
