Tulsa finishes fall with 16th-place showing in Kiawah Island

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC –– The Tulsa women’s golf team finished in 16^th place at the Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday to close out the fall campaign. Tulsa scored a final round 312 and ended the 54-hole event with a score of 936 at the par-72 Turtle Point Golf Course.

Tulsa junior Anneke Strobach placed 35^th with a three-round score of 228 after today’s score of 76, while fellow junior Johanna Samuelsson shot a score of 75 Tuesday and finished one stroke behind Strobach with an overall total of 229 for 39^th place.

Olivia Jackson also turned in a round of three-over par 75 today and finished the tournament with a score of 233 for 56^th place.

Freshman Randi Romack placed 84^th overall with a score of 147, while senior Nikki Marquardt had to withdraw for today’s final round.

Ole Miss won the team title with a score of 292 today for an 883 total, while the Rebels’ Diane Kim won individual medalist honors with a three-under par score of 213.

Tulsa will open the spring season on February 26 at The Dickson hosted by the University of Houston in The Woodlands, Texas.
