Tulsa golfers can meet with new management, city officials

Town hall meetings are scheduled at Page Belcher and Mohawk Park as the new management group Sidorakis Golf discusses current projects and future plans and improvements with golfers at the two City of Tulsa municipal courses.

Registration for the Mohawk Park session May 17 at 6 p.m. is open, email jadonalee@icloud.com with your name and email and who is attending. The Page Belcher session May 6 is closed.

Golfers eager to see conditions, particularly at Mohawk Park, continue to improve should also think about attending one of the three remaining Community Conversation events with Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols and various city councilors and department heads and urge them to go full bore to support improvements after 20 years of neglect.

A major sodding project is under way at Mohawk Park on the fifth hole on Woodbine, a new pump house has been installed and there is $4 million in a bond issue to help with new irrigation. But the needs are far greater than just new irrigation piping.

The remaining Community Conversations are scheduled:

• Monday May 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tulsa Dream Center West Campus, 4122 W. 55th Place (Council District 2)

• Thursday May 15 at 5:30 p.m. at OU Tulsa Founders Hall, 4502 E. 41st Street. (Council District 4, 9)

• May 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Tulsa Educare at Hawthorne, 3420 N. Peoria Ave. (Council Districts 1, 3)
