Tulsa places seventh at Louisiana Classic

Lafayette, La. –– The Tulsa men’s golf team finished in seventh place at the 29th Annual Louisiana Classics on Tuesday with a 54-hole total of 883. The Hurricane shot a final round 309 today at the par-72 Oakbourne Country Club.
Illinois led the tournament from start to end, finishing with a 25-under par score of 839 and was followed by second-place LSU (845). Host Louisiana (868), LA Tech (872) and New Mexico State (879) rounded out the top-five teams.
Tulsa senior Logan McCracken finished with a one-under par score of 215 for 12th place after carding a final round score of 75 on Tuesday. Fellow senior Mark Mumford placed 25th overall with a 220 score.
Tulsa junior Matt Mabrey and freshman Matthew Marquez tied for 46th place by shooting three-round totals of 225. Junior Colton Staggs placed 59th overall with a score of 229.
Individually, LSU’s Myles Lewis won individual medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 10-under par after turning in
Tulsa will be back in action at the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational, March 21-23, in Tempe, Arizona.
