Tulsa struggles to 11th place at The Show in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. –– The Tulsa women’s golf team finished in 11th place at The Show with a total score of 904 on the par-72 Spanish Trail Country Club course.

Redshirt freshman Allyn Stephens paced the Hurricane with a 5-over par score of 221, following a 1-under round of 71 Tuesday. Stephens had birdies on holes 18, seven and 11 after starting the shotgun round on hole 12 to finish the event in 21st place.

Tulsa sophomore Grace Kilcrease turned in a final round 76 and finished in 44th place with a 227 score, while junior Sydney Seigel placed 52nd with a 229 total. Sophomore Jenni Roller finished in 63rd place with a score of 233 and freshman Norah Seidl had her best round of the tournament with a 75 on Tuesday to finish in 73rd place overall with a 245 total score.

UCLA and SMU tied for the team title with 6-under par scores of 858.

Tulsa won its previous full team event but had several players out sick in its most recent tournament. The team will be back in action at the Mountainview Collegiate in Tucson, Arizona, March 15-17.
