2024 OGA scholarship recipients announced

The Oklahoma Golf Association Foundation is excited to announce our recipients of our 2024 scholarships. Our Foundation received over 25 applicants for the scholarships this year, which was the most ever in its history. The following seven individuals stood above the rest, and we are excited to award them each with these $5,000 scholarships:

Natalie Blonien – Morri Rose Scholarship

From Altus, Natalie Blonien will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall studying pre-dental.

She will also be serving as a member of Arkansas women’s golf team.

She has won numerous OJGT events, is a OGA Junior Girls Stroke Play Champion, and is most recently a Girls 5A individual state champion.

Off the course, Natalie boasts a 4.0816 GPA, and is first in her class at Altus High School.

 

 

 

Josh Stuart – Bill Barrett Scholarship

From Norman, Josh Stuart will be attending the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, and will be a member of their golf team. Josh is a past champion in the OJGT. He has achieved a 3.8 GPA at Norman North, and has been involved in the Chistians on Campus & Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

 

 

 

 

 

Jaci Hartman – Gene Mortensen Scholarship

From Burneyville, Jaci Hartman will be attending the University of Northern Colorado next year. Jaci was a member of four State Girls Golf Team Championships at Turner and a individual 2A champion in 2023. Jaci is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society, Gifted & Talented, Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and is active with her youth church group.

 

 

Sebastian Salazar – Roy Oxford Scholarship

From Norman, Sebastian Salazar will be attending Penn State University and will be a member of their golf team. Having dual citizenship, he has competed in many OJGT events, along with events in Venezuela. Sebastians junior year, he led Norman High to their first 6A state team title while also winning the 6A individual title. Off th course, Sebastian’s GPA at Norman High is a 4.0 and is actively participated in Tigerpalooza, a philanthropic event held every year at the school.

 

 

Cameron Cheek – Corky Billen Scholarship

From Owasso, Cameron will be attending the University of Oklahoma, where he will be a member of the Sooners golf team. Cameron has played in over 15 OGJT events and recorded 3 wins in the 2023 that helped him claim the 2023 OJGT Player of the Year honors. Cameron has accomplished a 3.8 GPA and is proudly involved with many groups at his church.

 

 

 

Allie Justiz – Golf Inc. Scholarship

From Arcadia, Allie will be attending Texas State University, where she will be a member of the golf team. Allie has participated in over 14 OGJT events. As captain of her high school team, she led them to a 5A state title this year. Allie has been recognized as the 2021 South Central PGA Tour Player of the Year. While attending Bishop McGuinness, she achieved a 3.88 GPA and participated in numerous community projects.

 

 

 

 

 

Parker Sands – Golf Inc. Scholarship

From Edmond, Parker Sands will be attending the University of Florida and will be a member of the Gator’s golf team. Parker is a multiple time past champion in the OJGT, OGA Junior Champion, and is also a 6A state champion. He also fired a 59 in the second round of the 2023 Oklahoma Open. Parker’s GPA is a 3.889 GPA at Edmond North and is a member of the Honor Society for excellent academics.
