OCU needs heroic final round in NAIA National Championship

Oklahoma City University remained in second place but the gap between OCU and Keiser University widened considerably Thursday in the third round of the NAIA National Championship at TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Il.

OCU struggled to a round of 21-over 309 while Keiser was shooting 296.. That left OCU at 918 and 14 shots behind Keiser heading into Friday’s final round.

Paige Wood had the best round for the Stars at 4-over 76 and she is tied for fifth in the individual race. Maddi Kamas and Logan Allen each shot 77 while Jamie Welsh had a 79 for the final counting score.

Kamas is tied for 11th as is Ponca City native Sydney Hermann of Dalton State (76-76-77). Live scoring for the final round is here.
